Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC) is hosting Forensic Nurse Examiner
Adolescent/Adult course. This course is approved by the Maryland Board of
Nursing. The course is for RN's with at least 18 months experience and a MD
license to be come certified to provide SAFE (Sexual Assault Forensic
Examination) services for victims of sexual assault The courss is being offered
from 10/26/2009 through 10/30/2009 at a cost of $400.00. The instructor for the

Falsified Verifications - It has come to the Board's attention that falsified
verifications of licensure status have begun to circulate among employers. The
Board asks that all employers take time to verify a licensee or certificate
holder through the Board's website using Look
Up a Licensee. This on-line database is updated daily and contains the most
recent licensure information.

continues to grow as the patient care population becomes more diverse. The
Maryland Board of Nursing recommends that all nurses take advantage of the
