BALTIMORE CITY COMMUNITY COLLEGE

The nursing program provides individual attention to meet the needs of a diverse student population that includes recent high school graduates, homemakers, and people who are changing careers. LPN’s may apply for advanced standing or apply to the LPN-to-RN Bridge Program which may be completed in one year. Courses in the social, physical, and biological sciences help the student care for the patient in a compassionate, caring manner using a scientific basis for practice.Students learn patient care techniques in the Nursing Learning Laboratory and the Nursing Media Center at the Liberty Campus. A grade of "C" or better in all nursing and science courses and a cumulative GPA of 2.0 is required in order to enroll in subsequent nursing courses.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: GPA of 2.5 or higher
High School Diploma or GED
PRE 100; Completion of Math 82 or Math 107
TOFEL (Test of Fluency in English for Foreign Students-550 paper, 213 computer)
Chemistry 103 and Biology 101 or appropriate scores on placement test
Biology 111, Biology 112, and Biology 212 ("C" or better grade and taken no more than five years prior to entry)
CPR certification; physical exam and immunizations are required before starting hospital experience
