This program is designed to prepare students to enter the nursing profession as registered nurses. The curriculum provides theoretical and clinical laboratory study in nursing that will enable students to learn to work as a member of a health care team. Students must successfully complete, with a grade of "C" or better, all nursing, math, and science courses in order to progress through and graduate from the program. A minimum of 14 pre-clinical credits must be completed in order to enter the clinical program. Students are encouraged to complete as many of the general education pre-clinical requirements as possible before enrolling in clinical nursing courses.

PROGRAM TYPE: Associate Degree
PROGRAM LENGTH:  Four academic semesters plus one January semester preceded by prerequisite courses (below).
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Selective Admission Process
GPA 2.25 or higher, calculated from courses that are required for completion of the nursing program
Satisfactory completion (C or better) of a minimum of 14 pre-clinical credits including ENG 101, PSYC 101, BIO 220 and BIO 221-Human Anatomy and Physiology

Spring Admission - First Monday in October
