CECIL COMMUNITY COLLEGE

Cecil Community College offers a practical nursing option within the nursing program. Practical nursing students enroll in the same classes as the RN students during the fall and spring semester of the first year. Practical nursing candidates then take a summer option course and complete the practical nursing program in late July. Students who successfully complete the practical nursing program are eligible to take the licensure exam for licensed practical nurses, and are prepared to function as a direct care-giver in acute and chronic care settings.

Cecil Community College also offers program in nursing leading to an Associate of Science degree. Graduates of the program are eligible to take the licensure examination for registered nurses and are prepared to function as a direct care-giver in acute and chronic care settings. The program also provides the beginning practitioner with an educational foundation for further study in nursing.
