The Maryland Health Care Commission (MHCC) fee assessed to Active
status RNs varies on an annual basis. The current assessment is
$14.00 annually. This fee is doubled for qualified Biennial RN
renewals. LPNs, CNAs, and Med Techs do not pay this assessment.
RNs and LPNs born in an odd-numbered year will receive a biennial (2-year) renewal and must pay the biennial renewal rate if either of these conditions apply:
[A] You submit a renewal application after January 1, 2013 or
[B] Your current license expires after January 1, 2013
